CLOSE TO RIM | DRILL #3
OBJECTIVE: To refine shooting mechanics and technique.
REPS: Min 100 Shots Per Day (Every Day)
FOCUS: Score the basket.
GOAL: Score without touching the rim (swishes) for intermediate and advance player.

EXTENDING RANGE | DRILL #5
OBJECTIVE: To Develop Range
REPS: Min 100 Shots Per Day (Every Day)
FOCUS: REMOVE the SmartShotInventor Aid and slowly start moving further away from the rim using the same bio-mechanics.

**important TO MAXIMIZE TRAINING**
TRaining MINDSET for ALL SKILL LEVELS:
Before every shooting practice or game use the SMARTSHOTINVENTOR drills & Train with the SMARTSHOTINVENTOR TRAINING AID first without using the rim. take 100 - 300 shots (See Backboard & wall drills ABOVE).
Yes, it sounds counter-intuitive to shoot witout using the rim but here are the immediate benefits:
puts the focus solely on Proper smart shot shooting mechanics
won’t compromise shooting form just to make the basket
takes the focus off of makes and misses as validation for proper form
More reps per second
can shoot between 100-300 shots in a few minutes
reps with perfect shooting form every time
a great way to warm up teams before games
Translates to increased consistent and accurate game shots
NOTE: After completion of drills, it is recommend to temporarily remove the SmartShotInventor Basketball Shooting Training Aid and use the muscle memory you just created to shoot further away from the rim at game speed.
The SmartShotInventor Basketball Shooting Training Aid is most effectively used in form shooting drills. The muscle memory that you build training with the SmartShotInventor Training Aid naturally converts to game speed shooting mechanics! Although game speed varies with the player’s level, the fact will always remain that no matter how fast the light/sound feedback indicators are, human reaction time is too slow to process that information, making it humanly impossible to adjust your shot mechanics at game speed... Although some players may find it useful at game speed, the SmartShotInventor Training Aid is not recommended for game speed play.
